WP U16 Mini U Boat~The U-16 is based on a submarine operated by the German Federal Navy.
The sub features a real static diving system utilizing a vertical movement motor which controls a flood tank.
As the tank floods, the boat starts to sink under its own weight; it surfaces using the same method. The result is that the model can "hover" (remain stationary) in the water.
Excellent maneuverability is obtained by the stern thruster combined with the relatively short hull - the model is shorter than scale. The drive battery can be charged quickly and easily, as the switch socket doubles as the charge socket. The two red searchlights glow when the boat is running, making the model look truly realistic. As the submarine is so small, it can easily be operated in the bath or an aquarium.

Graupner Mini Shark Submarine~The MINI SHARK is based on a typical modern atomic submarine, and is intended to look as realistic as possible.
The hull length is proportionately shorter to ensure that the boat is highly manoeuvrable. The sub exploits the static diving principle, i.e. the submerge motor pushes the model under water, where it maintains its position.
The boat has slight residual buoyancy as a safety feature, so that it will always rise to the surface in an emergency, e.g. if the batteries are flat. The submarine is also turned by controlling the motors.
For example, if the right-hand motor runs and the left-hand motor is stopped, the boat turns to the left. The drive battery can be recharged quickly and easily using the charge station supplied; charge time is 10 minutes.
The two red searchlights (or "eyes") light up when the sub is moving, making the model look almost "alive". Due to its small size, the model can easily be operated in the bath or any fairly large aquarium. Running time is up to 15 minutes.

R/C Mega-Yacht. True-scale model of the world's fastest mega-yacht. For 3 JET propulsion systems and electric power. Multi-channel R/C. Quick-build kit with moulded hull, deck and superstructure.
Product information
The Moonraker was completed in 1992 and its top speed of 124 km/h makes it the fastest mega-yacht in the world at present. The boat s owner, John Staluppi, had previously held the record with his yacht ]OCTOPUSSY (99 km/hr).
Staluppi entrusted the layout and design of the new vessel to Frank Mulder, whose Dutch studio ]Mulder Design specialises in high-quality motor yachts.
The yacht was built at the Ulstein Elkefjord Marine yard, which is part of the ]Norship consortium of Norwegian dockyards. The Moonraker cost more then 15 million DM to build, and was originally designed to be fitted with three MTU diesel engines: two 16-V 396 T8 94's, each rated at 3480 BHP outboard, in conjunction with two steer able KaMeWa jet units, and a central 1200 BHP 12-V 183 TE 92 combined with a booster jet.
However, tank testing showed that this combination would only produce a top speed of about 85 km/h. The centre diesel engine was then replaced by a Textron Lycoming TF-40 gas turbine, rated at 4600 BHP. Total engine power is thus 11,560 BHP, and the boat achieved a speed of 124 km/h during sea trials off Norway.

Azimut Atlantic Challenger~Atlantic Challenger

The Blue Riband trophy was inaugurated in 1933 by the Englishman Harold Holes for the fastest Atlantic crossing by a passenger ship.
In 1952 it was awarded to the ocean-going steamship United States, which traversed the Atlantic in 82 hours and 40 minutes, and that proved to be the last time it was awarded. To this day the trophy stands in Long Island Naval Museum. In 1986 the English aviation industrialist Richard Branson crossed the Atlantic in a new record time of 80 hours and 31 minutes in his 21.95 m long Virgin Atlantic Challenger. However, the Americans refused him the trophy, as the Virgin was not a passenger vessel, had been refueled en rout, and was not in regular line service.
In response Branson inaugurated a new cup: the Virgin Atlantic Trophy, which is awarded to the vessel which crosses the Atlantic the fastest by any means.

In subsequent years repeated attempts have been made to notch up the fastest Atlantic crossing, and this was the aim behind the Azimuth Atlantic Challenger, which was built in Italy.
The 27 m long aluminum boat was designed by the well-known car stylist Pininfarina and built at the Benetti yard in Viaregio, which belongs to the Azimuth group of companies. The boat is fitted with four 18-cylinder CRM engines producing a total of 6000 kW, cou-pled to two RIVA-Calzoni jet systems. The plan was to complete the crossing without a refueling stop at an average speed of over 40 knots. In the Summer of 1988 the AZIMUTH set off, together with the American Tom Gentry in his GENTRY EAGLE, which started at almost the same time. After about 1500 nautical miles bad weather forced both boats to give up the attempt.
The magazine Schiffsmodell published full details of the AZIMUT ATLANTIC CHALLENGER in issue 12/90. Our model was designed using original drawings, and is drawn to a scale of 1:20. It is completely true to scale. Like the full-size the model is powered by two water-jets. The model is steered via the control jets which deflect the water stream. This technology produces a model which is great accuracy.
Fitted with the water jet reversing mechanism the boat can even be run backwards without reversing the motors. At around half- throttle the reverse shrouds can be lowered from the transmitter to the point where the model stops dead. If a rudder command is now given the model rotates on the spot. Fitted with two SPEED 700 BB TURBO electric motors and low-cost lead/acid batteries running times of up to 20 minutes are possible.
For higher speeds ULTRA motors and NC cells can be fitted instead; this is left up to the modeler's discretion and experience. The GRP hull is also quite strong enough to take an internal combustion motor if preferred.

Product information
In 1992/1993 the DETLEF HEGEMANN ROLAND dockyard collaborated with the DEUTSCHE INDUSTRIE-WERKE GmbH to design and build two tugs for the Italian Shipping Company TITO NERI RIMORCHIATORI based at Livorno.

The ships are of identical design and were assigned the names TITO NERI and ALGERINA NERI. They currently rate amongst the most modern ocean-going and harbour assistance tugs in the world. Their towing equipment consists of a combination of winches on the after deck and foredeck. Each winch is driven by a hydraulic motor and has a tractive power of 15 t. The tugs are also equipped with a powerful fire-fighting system and a fire self-protection system.
The maneuverability required for these vessels intended tasks is provided by two Schottel drive systems and a bow thruster. Total engine power of 2x2000 BHP provides a forward thrust of 55t, and the maximum running speed is 12.5 kn. Our semi-scale model of the TlTO NERl is designed to a scale of 1:33, and is based on documents supplied by the dockyard and the shipping company.

Our semi-scale model of the TlTO NERl is designed to a scale of 1:33, and is based on documents supplied by the dockyard and the shipping company.
Like the full-size vessel the model features a very powerful propulsion system with two semi-scale Schottel propeller units driven by a pair of powerful electric motors. These units, in conjunction with the bow thruster, endow the model with impressive running and maneuvering capabilities, making the model a fascinating exercise to operate and control. With its large size, its bluff hull and its considerable displacement the model also exhibits excellent stability on the water.
The model's complex and extensive detailing reproduces all the characteristic features of the original and will satisfy the demands of the more advanced model builder. Installing a sound module provides the icing on the cake,
giving a convincingly realistic simulation of the vessel's operating sounds, including diesel engines, foghorn, horn and winch.
The fire-fighting monitors are also working models, and other auxiliary working systems can also be installed, although details are left up to the builder. Although the model is intended for the advanced builder, nevertheless the large number of high quality pre-fabricated parts in the kit and fittings set simplify and speed up its construction substantially. The GRP hull is very strong and of complex construction, with all openings pre-cut using CNC-machines and the support surfaces for the two Schottel drive units accurately pressure-moulded.
The vacuum-moulded ABS parts for the wheelhouse are also supplied with all windows and other openings CNC-machined. The hull is rendered torsionally rigid by the installation of a plywood deck and bulkheads, and these parts are supplied accurately die-stamped. The fittings set is very extensive and contains all the parts required to give the model a scale appearance, including towing winches, boat crane hydraulic crane, fire monitors and dozens of other small parts.

Parat~The PARAT
Harbour tug was built in 1983 by the Detlef Hegemann Roland dockyard, and delivered in the same year to the Hamburg-based Luetgens & Reimers shipping company.
The pair of VOITH-SCHNEIDER drive systems makes the tug extremely agile, as it is capable of manoeuvring in any direction. Installing an optional “tug” sound module allows the realistic reproduction of characteristic operating sounds such as diesel engines, foghorn, horn and winch noise. Additional working systems can also be installed, including rotating fire monitors, and extending the upper fire monitor to a height of 30 cm.
Parts which are difficult to make, such as the hull, deck, bulwark, superstructure and bridge, are supplied highly pre-fabricated.
The kit includes injection-moulded parts which ease assembly and shorten the building time, and the fittings set includes a further range of useful components. The boat is not intended for the beginner, as construction demands a certain level of technical expertise and manual skill.

~The PARAT
Harbour tug was built in 1983 by the Detlef Hegemann Roland dockyard, and delivered in the same year to the Hamburg-based Luetgens & Reimers shipping company.
The ship is equipped with 2 VOITH-SCHNEIDER propellers, powered by 2 x 6-cylinder e 4T K.H. Deutz diesel engines each rated at 2460 BHP, giving the vessel a tensile power of 32.2 tonnes.
The tug also features a comprehensive fire-fighting system for use in the lower Elbe region. Our model of the PARAT has been developed with the help and support of the D. Hegemann Roland dockyard, who kindly supplied actual design office drawings. As with the full-size vessel the model is powered by 2 VOITH-SCHNEIDERpropellers.

~Container ships such as the SYDNEY STAR are an increasingly common sight on the world's oceans, as the use of standardized containers - they are identical the world over - makes it simple and fast to load and unload goods.
For this reason virtually all goods are transported by container nowadays. For long-distance journeys (Asia - Europe - America) large container ships with vast transport capacity are employed, which can only be accommodated in particular ports.
These ports are specially equipped for handling containers, and for this reason the ships require no loading bridge. The containers are then carried on the remainder of their journey by smaller container ships (coastal vessels), or by road and rail.

The full-size JULES VERNE was built in 1998, and combines in an ideal way the essential design elements of those earlier yachts with modern facilities andrefinements. The result is one of the most elegant yachts of the "retro-style" to be produced to date.
For reasons of cost timber-built hulls are virtually never built nowadays, so the hull of the JULES VERNE is made of aluminium and painted mahogany brown.
The boat´s two engines, each rated at 660 BHP, endow it with a top speed of around 26 kn. Our model of the JULES VERNE is designed to a scale of 1:20, and is based on the designer's original drawings.
It does call for certain manual skills and a modicum of experience in boat modelling, so the kit is only recommended to the experienced boatbuilder. All the rounded parts are vacuum-moulded in ABS, and the parts which normally present problems are also CNC-trimmed, including the hull, stern steps, deck and superstructure.
The wooden parts are die-stamped in order to shorten the building time. The kit includes injection-moulded fittings such as windscreen wipers, ventilators, lamps, radar unit etc. as standard. The lamp housings in the fittings set can easily be made to work by fitting miniature 2.4 mm Ř filament bulbs.

~The new 9-metre sea rescue boat with Delta hull is one of a series of seven new vessels which have been developed on the basis of previous SAR units.
The design of this new boat type incorporates the knowledge and experience of the rescue teams in the Search and Rescue (SAR) service.
Like all SAR units of the DGzRS (German Sea Rescue Service) this 9 m boat is of welded, sea-waterresistant aluminiumconstruction, exploiting the proven network bulwark system.
The main feature of this type of vessel is its outstanding sea-worthiness. In shallow waters, with heavy seas and breakers, the boat remains stable, manoeuvres perfectly, survives serious grounding and is capable of running alongside other vessels even at fairly high speeds and in difficult conditions thanks to the shock-absorbing fender system running all round the hull.
The hull is sub-divided into a series of watertight compartments, greatly increasing the vessel´s safety if a leak should occur.
The hull form is specially designed to combine low drag with good stability and excellent sea-going qualities, especially when running before the wind. The far aft location of the hull´s maximum beam and the 40° angled hull surfaces are features which were developed with the expert ise of the DGzRS and the dockyard.
Since the boats are designed to be used under the most difficult conditions possible, they include comprehensive safety measures. This new vessel is controlled exclusively from the fully enclosed upper command position, and is equipped with the latest navigation technology.
The crew are provided with special high-security seats with a safety harness system.
The model is drawn to a scale of 1:20, and has been developed with the help of documents from the DGzRS and the Fr. Schweers dockyard. All the parts which are difficult to make are supplied as ABS plastic mouldings: they include the hull, deck, superstructure and many other small parts.
The hull, deck and superstructure are CNC-trimmed. Many injection-moulded plastic parts are also provided, including bollards, aerials, blue light, lanterns and other components, and these all help to shorten the building time.
The boat can be run with a basic set of RC equipment, but there is space for additional working systems at the builder´s discretion, including sound simulator, lighting system etc.

The boats are used in the area between the Bays of Mecklenburg and Pommerania. The ocean-going rescue vessels also play an active role in conservation and nature protection.
The vessels were designed and built at the dockyard of Fr. Fassmer & Co. of Berne. The “Bodden Boats” are equipped with a Jet propulsion system and can therefore operate even in extremely shallow waters. They are transported overland on a special trailer pulled by a Unimog U 2150 L. Our model is drawn to a scale of 1:10 and is based on documents supplied by the DGzRS and the Fassmer dockyard. The planing hull endows the model with an excellent turn of speed, while the jet propulsion system provides outstanding maneuvering capability. In addition to the standard equipment the boat has plenty of room for auxiliary functions (at the builder's discretion) including sound simulator, lighting system, searchlights, blue lamp, folding mast, tow hook actuation and more.
The model is the perfect host for the MULTI-SOUND-NAVY module, No. 2351.All the parts which are difficult to make, such as hull, deck, superstructure, buoyancy vessel, flood jets and moldings. The hull and superstructure are CNC-machined. All the windows and other openings in the hull are machine-cut as standard, and all the wooden parts are highly pre-fabricated. Wiesel~GRAUPNER CLASSIC LINE
The motor torpedo boats of the ZOBEL class are slightly improved versions of the JAGUAR class vessels, and were launched in the year 1961.  After just 8 years the four torpedo tubes were replaced by two stern torpedo tubes, and at the same time an improved radar system was installed. These modifications brought the boats up to the standard required for altered service requirements.
In the early 1980´s the boats were de-commissioned and sold, some to the Turkish navy (among them the WIESEL), the remainder to other owners; the worn-out vessels ended their days as target ships.

WIESEL built to a scale of 1/40th based on original drawings and documents, with particular emphasis on good detailing of the superstructure.
Special 40 mm guns are available as optional accessories, and installing these weapons gives the boat an even more impressive appearance. All the parts which are difficult to make, including the hull, bridge, deck superstructure etc., are supplied in the kit as vacuum-moldings, and this makes construction of the model much easier.
Most of the wooden parts are supplied die-cut to save even more time.
A comprehensive fittings set is included as standard, and the many injection-moulded and brass parts in it help to produce a visually imposing model with relatively little manual effort

A comprehensive fittings set is included as standard, and the many injection-moulded and brass parts in it help to produce a visually imposing model with relatively little manual effort.
The decal sheet now includes the names and NATO numbers of all the 10 motor torpedo boats of the ZOBEL class, which means that it is possible for a club to produce an entire motor torpedo boat squadron. The hull offers ample space to accommodate a comprehensive RC system. The RC installation plan shows the position of the receiving system together with some of the optional auxiliary working systems. It is also possible to install the super-detailed 40 mm guns available as optional accessories(Order No. 320) instead of the standard weapons included in the kit.
The recommended electric motors are well matched to the size of model, and the boat is capable of an exciting performance on the water. The model is fairly demanding in terms of construction and operation, so it is only intended for experienced modelers.
The new version of the kit includes completely revised instructions and plans, and construction is further simplified by the addition of vacuum-moulded parts for the torpedo tubes and life-jackets. The kit now also includes shaft systems, propellers, rudder systems and all fittings (previously available in a separate fittings set) plus additional wooden parts, including those for the boatstand.

It can cope with many tasks including transport of personnel, equipment and materials, the maintenance of navigation buoys, ice-breaking missions and other tasks. The vessel is fitted with a remotely controlled hydraulic crane for work on deck.
The mast can be folded down, and the searchlight on the bridge swung forward and down, to enable the ship to pass under low bridges.
Powerful rudders and a bow thruster provide excellent manoeuvring capability, while extra electronic equipment allows the crew to operate and monitor all systems from two control towers.
